ANNUAL MEETING REPORTS ON ANOTHER WONDERFUL YEAR
Even though the weather threatened to spoil the
Carnival it was unable to do so and in spite of a short blast of rain
and hail as it set off the parade continued in high spirits and most
of the spectators followed into a very busy field. The size of the
parade was as good as the previous year so the 30th anniversary
celebrations were as lively as the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and was
just as enjoyable.
This year’s retiring chairperson, Geoff Wright
congratulated everyone on their splendid efforts and handed over the
Job to Wendy Corden, who will have the pleasure for the next 2 years
with the added bonus of the Tour de France 2 weeks after next year’s
carnival parade not to mention the world cup from Brazil!

successful financial year with the year’s total income covering all
