Link to Carnival 2016

Another year and another AGM. On Friday 15th July Otley Carnival Committee met at the Otley Aged People’s Welfare Centre for its 2016 AGM where it elected its officers and presented trophies to winners and cheques to this year’s beneficiaries.

Each beneficiary – Behind Closed Doors, Yorkshire Cancer Research and Wheatfields Hospice each received an equal share. Their representatives Pat Dixon, Ros Carthy and Charlotte Stern respectively were there to collect the cheques from their organisations.

Pat Dixon was also awarded the Hasmukh Shah trophy for the best collection in a bucket. Georgia & Alex Bentham from Westgate School were there to collect the Keith Wilkinson Trophy for the best parade entry voted by the public.

So planning now starts for the 2017 Carnival.
