Otley
Little Theatre
presents the
musical play
Brassed
Off
adapted for
the stage by Paul Allen
Following the massive success of the Yorkshire-made film featuring Tara Fitzgerald, Ewan McGregor and Pete Postlethwaite, writer Paul Allen has adapted the story of Brassed Off for the stage.
Set in a Yorkshire mining town as threatened pit closures affect the lives of everyone in the community, Brassed Off follows the fortunes of the colliery brass band, portraying the difficulties of both musical and personal survival.
The music of Grimley Colliery Band represents the spirit of the community, but with the threat of redundancy and future unemployment the band members no longer match the unshakable dedication of their leader Danny.
Otley Brass
Band (leader: Gordon Eddison) joins Otley Little Theatre in a spectacular
staging of this unique theatrical experience directed by Meg Morton - guaranteed
to be one you will remember for years! Book early as demand for seats is expected
to be very high!
Produced in association with Otley Brass Band
