nce again it's panto time!

This year we find ourselves in the golden age of chivalry - King Arthur's England! It's a time of great deeds and fiery dragons, witches and sorcerers, good versus evil, knights in shining armour, gallant steeds, lavish banquets and women in ponds distributing swords...

Well, almost, except that Arthur is getting on a bit, and prefers a good chuckle to a good battle!

All the legendary characters are here - on the Goodies' side there's Merlin the Wizard (that's him on the left), the hauntingly beautiful Guinevere (or maybe she's just haunting) and Sir Lancelot, a noble and brave Knight of the Round Table who once again gets all the dirty jobs like slaying dragons, rescuing damsels in distress and, due to staff cuts, cleaning out the privies.

In the Black Corner are Morgana, pretender in chief to the throne and boss of a strange assortment of dancing goblins ghouls and other nasty creatures, including her son Mordred, a cold blooded, evil killer (it says here) who will stop at nothing to defeat Lancelot in battle (no further bets accepted...)

Watch out for the usual assortment of hairy creatures and dragons (that's just the backstage staff!) as the evil Morgana arrives at Arthur's court and proceeds to cast her wicked spells in an effort to destabilise the government and force a general election (of herself, by a majority of one).

Will she succeed?
Will Arthur be duped and hand over power?
Will Guinevere win the "Miss Camelot" title?
Will the person who nicked Jean's iron please return it as Nigel's shirts are too creased to wear? (sorry - that was meant for the members' noticeboard)
Will Sir Lancelot save the day and get the girl?
Will our dragons set fire to the scenery and force an early dash to the pub?

These and other burning questions will be answered at Otley Civic Centre, December 2nd to 6th 2003! (Including Saturday matinee!)
