WHARFETALES is looking for help to produce the most successful parish magazine this side of Craggy Island! No experience needed but we can train you in (1) computer skills and design/layout and/or (2) journalism and news gathering. Enthusiasm is the only requirement – you will join the dynamic Communications Group who work as a team. This is a good way to gain some skills and contribute to parish life. Age is no barrier but youth is a positive advantage! Or recently retired and looking for excitement (not a lot). Salary is negotiable but likely to be £0 – you will get your reward in heaven (subject to status). Apply to Fr Tom, Mary Vickers (07889 054242) or Steve O’Neill (07753 963498). We operate an equal opportunities policy: even Catholics may apply

CLITHEROW HOUSE SOCIAL CLUB – Volunteers needed!
Are you an aspiring Den Watts or Bet Lynch? If so, Clitherow House Social Club needs you! One Friday, Saturday or Sunday night every 5 or 6 weeks is all that is involved, no experience necessary as training will be given; please see Sandy Lay or contact him on 465341.

REFLECTION

Grace is unlimited

Human beings are frail and foolish.
We have been told that grace is to be found in the universe.
But in our human foolishness and short-sightedness
we imagine divine grace to be finite, and we tremble.
But the moment comes when our eyes are opened,
and we see that grace is infinite.
Grace demands nothing from us
but that we await it with confidence
and acknowledge it with gratitude.
Grace makes no conditions and singles out no one.
Grace takes us all to its bosom
and proclaims a general amnesty.
